Traveling with a PR Card
Your Permanent Resident Card (PR Card) is required when traveling to Canada by commercial carrier (airplane, train, bus, or boat).
If you enter by private car or on foot, you can still be admitted without a valid PR Card, as long as your PR status is valid.
